Dancers Among Us

Dancers Among Us

Living in a city, we’re used to the hustle and bustle of rush hour, traffic and crowds. Most of the time we’re simply annoyed by it – but recently, photographer Jordan Matter has made us look at everyday life just a little differently.

Dancers Among Us is book of photographs by Jordan Matter that capture the joy and wonder that we so often miss in everyday life. He uses professional dancers from across the country as storytellers in his photos to showcase the exuberance and happiness that exist in the mundane – if only we look a little bit closer.

Matter’s collection of photos, which was inspired by his son and curated over a three-year period, is truly beautiful both aesthetically and emotionally. See the photos for yourself at http://www.dancersamongus.com/, or if you live New York, you can purchase tickets to the Dancers Among Us launch party on Tuesday October 23rd. Books are also available for purchase on the Dancers Among Us Website and through retailers including Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
