Winter is a hard time to be stylish. I’m usually bundled up against the cold and wind, trying to stay warm and hardly worried about how I look. So I had fun checking out the awesome winter hats from Yak Apparel that were both fashionable and functional. Being warm and cozy and looking good aren’t mutually exclusive after all!
Yak Apparel sells some really beautiful beanies and head wraps, fleece-lined hats, and faux fur lined hats. Probably the neatest thing about these hats, other than their great look, is that they are made in Nepal and sales help to support the families that make them.
YAK Apparel is a Boston-based clothing and accessories company specializing in wool hats and silk scarves handmade in Nepal. We founded Yak in 2009, after a trip to Nepal in which we discovered talented artisans crafting beautiful, colorful wool hats by hand. We fell in love with the hats, and the wonderful people who made them – and we knew our friends back in the states would too. Our mission at Yak is to provide sustainable, fair wage employment to the people of Nepal through the production of colorful wool hats, silk scarves and other handmade accessories that are as unique and beautiful as the people who wear them.I love that Yak Apparel supports the community of artisans that makes these great hats, and I love that they are also all handmade with natural, sustainable materials.
They’ve also got cute beanies for both men
and women and these cool wraps that just cover your ears and forehead.
Don’t they look cozy and fashionable? I really do love my Yak hat
especially when it keeps me so warm in blustery cold weather. If you
need a stylish new winter hat (or a perfect gift!) be sure to shop
around on Yak Apparel. They often have fantastic sales with huge discounts so you can get some great deals! Follow Yak on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to be the first to hear about all of their awesome new products and promotions!
Yak Apparel has generously offered to give
