No-Bake Thanksgiving Treats

No-Bake Thanksgiving Treats

Hello Yak fans – happy Tuesday! Ready for some more Thanksgiving fun? Today we’ve got two really fun treats you can make for Thanksgiving that not only require less than a handful of ingredients each – but they don’t require any time in the oven! They’re perfect for last minute desserts, fun place settings, or crafts with the kids. Check ‘em out!

 1. Candy Corn on the Cob
Despite the name, this sweet corn treat is made of reeses pieces, not candy corn. It’s super simple to make too. All you’ll need are some green fruit rollups, a rectangular cookie (any variety will do!), white frosting and some reeses pieces. Use a sharp knife to cut the cookie into the shape of a corn cob (doesn’t have to be perfect, just taper the top of the rectangle), than wrap the bottom portion of the rectangle in fruit rollup, peeling the top down to look like half shucked corn. Next spread frosting over the top portion of the cookie and cover with reeses pieces. Enjoy!

2. Oreo Cookie Turkey
Not a fan of traditional turkey? Try this sweeter version made from oreo cookies and reeses. Start with an oreo (we prefer double stuffed) and use white frosting to “glue” the bottoms of two candy corns to the top of the oreo. Next attach a reeses peanut butter cup just behind the candy corns, and another oreo just behind the reeses. Attach a whopper to the top of the reeses cup as the head. You can use and white and black frosting to draw eyes on your turkey, and additional candy corns for the nose, wings and feathers – and voila – an oreo cookie turkey!
